Our Journey
ZaoZetu.co.ke was born from a simple, stubborn question: “Why is it so hard for people to access timely, reliable agricultural information?”
From farmers sharing photos of wilted crops, from youth trying their first greenhouse project on borrowed land — we saw the same gap. There was plenty of talk about the unknowns of agriculture, but not enough honest, practical, on-the-ground storytelling from within it.
ZaoZetu (Swahili for “Our Harvest”) grew out of that reality. We started as a small team obsessed with turning scattered agricultural knowledge into clear, structured news and insights that any farmer, agripreneur, student, or policymaker could use.
Our journey is still unfolding. We listen, we question, we verify, and we return the information to where it matters most: the ground.
About Us
ZaoZetu.co.ke is a Kenya-based agricultural news and information platform dedicated to keeping people informed, empowered, and future-ready.
We provide information on a wide range of categories, including:
- Crop farming and best practices
- Livestock and dairy
- Agricultural technology and innovation
- Markets, finance, and agribusiness
- Climate, policy, and emerging trends
Our team works like a bridge — connecting farmers, experts, researchers, and institutions, and turning complex reports or policies into clear, accessible stories. We are committed to accuracy, context, and relevance. If a story does not impact the field, the farm, or the future of food, we question why it matters.
ZaoZetu is more than a website; it is a growing community of people who believe agriculture is not “backwards” or “old-fashioned”, but one of the most innovative and powerful spaces in Kenya’s economy.
We stand with the smallholder, the large-scale investor, the agriculture student, the county officer, the market trader, and the young person trying farming for the first time. Our role is simple but serious: to inform, to connect, and to keep our readers one step ahead of the next season.
